EAA Chapter 289 Membership / History
The members of EAA 289 have a rich heritage in the local Sioux
Falls/Tea, SD area. The chapter has been around since 1967 and in that
time we have had the chance to bring aviation a little closer to people
in our area. If you have a personal interest in aviation and would like to join

How to Find
Us
EAA Chapter 289 calls the Marv Skie (formally Great Plains) airport in Tea, SD
home.
If driving to the airport you will find it is 5 miles south of Sioux
Falls, SD on Interstate 29 take exit 73 if you are coming from
either the north or south. The airport is located on the west side of
Interstate 29.
From the air (Y14) is located N43o52.80' W96o54.07'.
Navaids to the airport include the use of the Sioux Falls VORTAC tune in (115.0
on your nav radio) N43o38.97' W96o46.87' 176o
11.6 nm to FLD 1570/9E.
The airport has one 3,650x60 (asph) runway 16-34
and you will want to self announce your position and intentions on CTAF
(122.8).
